Indigenous Artist Sets Up St Kilda Gallery

Indigenous artist Yarramunua has secured a site in an exclusive location at St Kilda in Melbourne for a new art gallery showcasing the works of Aboriginal artists from around Australia.

Yarramunua has leased the approximately 116 sqm building at 149 Acland Street, St Kilda, in a deal negotiated by George Kelepouris of Ray White Commercial Oakleigh.

George Kelepouris said the gallery has moved to the St Kilda restaurant and café precinct from premises at Fitzroy.

“Yarramunua is very excited to have found this site for the new gallery,” he said.

‘It is located in an exclusive enclave in St Kilda’s lifestyle precinct and includes a retail area of approximately 84 sqm with a further 32 sqm of storage at the rear.

“The property has front and rear access and car parking available. It enjoys high exposure with plenty of pedestrian traffic.”

The gallery has taken up a one year lease with two options of one year and a gross rental of $70,000 per annum.
